There's one point at which a demon is using the main character's sister's skin as a puppet. There's never any doubt as to what's going on or what it looks like, which is both good and bad, as the first event in the book is the grisly deaths of the main character's entire family. It's so vivid, it's like reading a really good comic book. This book scared the crap out of me, but I couldn't put it down. ICK!ICK!ICK!
